The type of leadership that organizations require these days is horizontal leadership, not the authoritative or vertical leadership from the past. Horizontal leadership does not make people create results through rank and authority, but allows them to create performance by themselves through autonomy and participation. Horizontal leadership is a skill that enables people to achieve a common goal by exercising their influence regardless of official position, authority, or power. It also allows for a smooth information flow during decision-making and meetings within organizations. This course will be examining specific strategies and solutions for bringing horizontal leadership to organizations.
